I am connecting to an Exchange 2013 Server (Build 1044.25) from a 2014 MBP i7 - 16GB RAM. Moving the mouse above emails creates a delayed trail of highlighted messages. I know I'm a little late at the party but I can confirm that Outlook 15 for Mac (15.8 in my case) is indeed as slow and sluggish as described by previous posters.
